The Waiblingen company first began showing off its machines in an annual calendar back in 1969, in the form of a plant calendar or nature calendar to start with. A change of direction took place in 1973 with the launch of the STIHL ‘girly calendar’, which deliberately emphasized the contrasts between powerful pieces of engineering and gentle femininity. Interest in, and demand for, these not-for-sale calendars rose accordingly year after year to reach a current level of nearly one million copies. The STIHL Calendar has thus become a fixture in the Swabian machinery manufacturer’s portfolio.
Renowned photographers shoot the beautiful models against dreamy backdrops, skillfully spotlighting the innovative power tools. Interested? Why not take a look at our online calendar and see what awaits you in 2014.
